I woke up a few days ago, though late, as I most times study late into the night. It has been a pattern for those who are in a business where you do something with your own hands — Sewing, baking, chiropractic, etc.
Ao much time and energy are involved as you barely have time for a good read unless you intentionally create it. I usually have my earpiece on while sewing and my pocketbook reader (Oh I love this APP) read my books to my hearing.
That’s how we survive. I remember in January I had a goal to study a particular subject and 3 big books were in my front to finish in 3 weeks plus bulk jackets I had to finish by the end of the month. Ooops.
You know that new year energy when it feels like you want to unravel the world into another form with your NEW YEAR GOALS AND RESOLUTION right? (Laughs😁😀) Yeah! That’s what I’m talking about.
By the way? How far so far with your goals? Is that energy still kicking? I mean, do you still feel like you want to change the world? Sometimes challenges can make you reverse back to the safety ground. Don’t give up? We just started another quarter. Happy April! Happy New Month. Start afresh if you have to. YOU CAN STILL WIN!
So, I juggled between those books and the sewing. I finished both the first week of February ( smiles) to win, you must have to first try. The options are WIN OR WIN…
That morning, I continue studying even before I had my breakfast, afterward, I washed a few clothes, clean the house and had my bath. As hot as the sunshine, I thought it was past midday. I expected the time to be at least 3 PM.
I took my phone it was 11:42 AM. Shocked, I turned to my younger brother because he was the last to use the phone. Hey! Why did you reset my time, he was shocked as well, No I didn’t, check my wristwatch he said, I did. It was 11:42 AM too. Something is wrong I muttered.
I called out to my next-door neighbor to help check the time for me, it was 11:43 now. Oh gosh! You don’t mean it. I screamed, are you sure it is, not 3 PM? That was when everyone burst into a wild laugh.
My younger brother echoed, you will stay in this house, stop chasing time and the laughter heightened even more. WHAT IS HAPPENING?
I just carefully reached for a sit and joined in the laughter too. REALLY? Has the earth got stocked somewhere? Or time from ticking? (My first few days, I dragged myself to cope with the sudden new pattern of life) I didn’t find it funny at all… 😀😀😀 But I feel better now.
I was used to saying, lord make each day 48 hours but now feel like 24 hours is dead long. Hey! Are you experiencing this too? You can change the narrative.
Plans changed suddenly, goals, not going to work again as it used to be. Well, I have and you can too. You can make the MOST OF THIS MOMENT AND HERE IS HOW?
- The IF IT IS REST YOU NEED, PLEASE REST.
Rest is not a plague. If you have worked yourself out before this word’s compulsory break, please rest, eat well too. Rest is a revival tool. If you feel distressed you can hardly think rationally. Now you have the time. Have a self-care time for yourself and enjoy every bit of it. Receive your energy and be mentally alert, ready for the next journey after the break
- Set goals that could fit into this period. goals that could be achieved within your room and when you head out after the break, it will seem like you just graduated from HARVARD! Study or research goals Are perfect for the time. You have the internet, explore as much as you can. I’m having the best of CULINARY ART RESEARCH AND it’s BEEN AMAZING. FRENCH cuisine is wild. Try out research different from your field.
- Learn a new skill: try a new skill especially if you have not been having a love ride with what you have been doing? Now is the time to explore something else, diving into another career path could be your NEXT BIG WIN!
TIME IS CHASING ME NOW AS I DON’T EVEN HAVE A SECOND TO CHECK WHAT THE TIME IS OR WORRY ABOUT THE POSITION OF THE SUN.
- I CREATE TIME TO REST TOO. I NEED IT AND I ENJOYING EVERY BIT OF IT.
